An equal-arm balance on a checked tablecloth on the teacher's desk, with cubes in one pan and a lidded mystery box in the other

Hi, I'm Cool! Let's make a guess first, then try it.

Labs

Choose a lab

Every lab opens with one question: predict first, then experiment, then explain. Pick a grade and that grade's version opens.

Balance Scale

How many cubes are hiding in the box?

Put cubes in the mystery box and watch which way the balance tips. The equals sign says both sides match.

Fraction Workshop

If you cut it into more pieces, do the pieces get bigger?

How it works

Every lab follows the same eight steps

The explorer cycle: children predict first, then try. The experiment only opens once a prediction is in, and a wrong guess is never punished, just explored.

  1. 1

    Ready?

Children meet the pieces and make a first move.

  2. 2

    What do I know?

They show what they think; nobody says right or wrong.

  3. 3

    In everyday life

They link the idea to something from home or school.

  4. 4

    Predict

They choose a prediction; only then does the experiment open.

  5. 5

    Try and observe

They try it, look closely and replay it as often as they like.

  6. 6

    Why?

They learn the name for what just happened.

  7. 7

    Try something new

They test the idea in a new situation.

  8. 8

    My explorer notebook

They look back at their prediction and collect a discovery card.

  • No scores

No timers, no rankings, no losing. If a prediction doesn't work out, Cool just asks: “Hmm, why do you think that happened?”

  • No data sent

No accounts, names or photos. Language and sound settings and progress stay on the device.

  • Off-screen too

Every lab comes with an activity for the teacher's desk, using things you already have in class.

For teachers

Get ready in five minutes

Every lab has a one-page printable teacher card: the lesson flow, a class prediction vote, discussion questions, misconceptions and an off-screen activity for the teacher's desk.

Good to know

  • On the classroom board

Open the lab full screen. At the predict step, children show their choice with their fingers and the class watches the result together.

  • On a tablet or at home

Children can also explore on their own. The lab works in Turkish and English, and read-aloud uses the device's own voices.

  • Curriculum

Mapped to learning outcomes of Türkiye's national curriculum; not reviewed or approved by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) or its Board of Education (TTKB).

The labs don't ask for accounts, names or photos, and they send no data. Privacy: School Lab
